The new Mac production app is available

VoxVent Studio Mac 0.21.2 is available to download and remains under testing. When audio comes from an existing on-site interpretation system, production now displays individual input levels, making the original feed and translations easier to monitor.

Room statistics include listener connections using the new cloud distribution. Production teams can follow audio signals and connected listeners together. Connections do not necessarily represent unique people.

Download VoxVent Studio for Mac 0.21.2. Requires macOS 13.3 or later and Apple M1 or later. This build is not yet notarised by Apple and may display a security warning when opened.

A simpler player on your phone

Attendees open the room link, choose a language and press Play. We have improved mobile audio startup and recovery, bringing control back to the main language button. There is no separate “Resume audio” button.

Pausing through the phone’s media controls keeps the connection active. Play returns to what is live now, skipping the elapsed time. Stop on the page ends listening instead. Data usage and the listener place remain active during a pause.

Distribution designed to grow

Public listening now automatically uses a cloud distribution network, including for new events. The aim is to deliver each channel to more attendees while reducing distribution work on the VoxVent server.

For attendees, the steps remain simple: a link, a language and their own headphones. Production and interpreter booths retain their dedicated connection. The audio comes from interpreters; this is not automatic translation.

Two events, several languages: testing continues

Today we tested two Mac production apps on separate events: one with original audio, Italian and English; the other with original audio, Italian, English, French and German. We also ran a test with around 150 browser listening sessions, plus a phone.

These are test results, not a certification of maximum capacity or support for every device. Extended testing and reconnection work continue, alongside checks with physical audio interfaces and different networks.

Let’s prepare your next event

Planning a conference, or already using an interpretation system and looking to add smartphone listening? We can assess your rooms, languages, audio sources and concurrent audience together.

Start with the licence configurator or request a demo. The service is under testing: availability and capacity are agreed before the event. Interpreters, hardware and connectivity are excluded.
